Put Claude to Work

A Hands-On Starter Workshop

You are probably used to ChatGPT and you’ve been meaning to try Claude

But you haven’t because there are already 19 other things on your list and “figure out another AI” tool keeps sliding to next week.

That’s what this workshop is for.

We’ll sit down together for 90 minutes and set up Claude so you can start using it in your actual work.

Not someday, not after you watch 7 videos, but during the workshop!

What we’ll do together

We’ll start with what Claude is, what it’s good at, and how it’s different from ChatGPT. We’ll check the settings that matter, including privacy and memory.

Then I’ll walk you through the main parts of Claude: Chats, Projects, Skills, and Connectors. You’ll have Claude open on your own computer so you can set things up as we go.

After that, we’ll pick one real task from your work and start using Claude for it before you leave.

What you’ll leave with

By the end of the workshop, you’ll have:

  • Claude set up and ready to use
  • The important privacy and settings pieces checked
  • A better understanding of what Claude can do
  • A good sense of when to use Chats, Projects, Skills, and Connectors.
  • One real task started inside Claude
  • A clearer idea of where Claude fits in your actual work

You may also leave with a starter Skill or Skill draft if that makes sense for your task.

But the real point is simpler than that:

You’ll stop meaning to try Claude and actually try it.

Who this is for

This is for business owners, consultants, coaches, solo professionals, and curious AI users who have mostly used ChatGPT and keep hearing about Claude, but haven’t taken the time to sit down and learn it.

What you’ll need

  • A Claude account (paid is helpful, free works, too)
  • One recurring task you’d like help with
  • A few notes, examples, or documents related to that task, if you have them

A note from Dana

I teach AI to non-technical business owners and teams.  I’ve noticed that getting started is often the hardest part.

It helps to have someone say, “Click here. Check this setting. Try this. Here’s why that worked. Here’s why that answer was weird. Here’s what to do next.”

That kind of help matters. Because AI can look easy from the outside, but when you’re the one staring at the blank prompt box, it can feel oddly hard to begin.

That’s what we’re going to fix.
